Quick Catch Up

So it has been a while.......

Here is what has happened in the last month and a half!!!!

I have been hired on at Ballinger Elementary!!! I am super excited and sad at the same time. I know I am going to love it but I am sad to leave my friends and kids at Robert Lee. I will be teaching 4th grade reading and writing. I am use to teaching math but I am ready for the new challenge. I am cutting my drive in half and there is a sonic, wal-mart and the turn row on my way home. Can't get much better than that!!!!

We celebrated our 1st anniversery on the 6th and were planning a trip to junction on the 16th, however on the 12th Nathan had an accident that sent us to the ER. He was working on the front porch(which looks amazing!!) and he had a cutting blade on his grinder. Come to find out the blade was to big for the grinder and he did not have the safty gaurd on (he threw it away when he bought the grinder). Needless to say it got too hot and blew up. He cut the second, third, and fourth fingers on his left had. The third and fourth fingers just needed stitches. The second finger was cut to the bone and was broke in 4 places. He also cut the tendend(sp?). The doctor told us that it is the most complex tendend in the human body. He had surgery on the 15th. Everything went well. The stiches are off now and he has to go to finger therapy 3 days a week for 3 weeks so he can bend his finger again. So the moral of the story is......DO NOT throw away the safty gaurd and just because your uncle uses that type of blade all the time DOES NOT mean nothing will ever happen!!!!

We are still praying for a baby. We have been to several check ups and they say everything looks good. If we are not successful in a couple of months they are going to do some dye thing. Knowing that God is in control gives us such an amazing peace about the whole thing. God is Good...All the time!!!

Our niece Sarah will be here in a few weeks. Shawn and Jamie are getting very excited!!!

Jamie and Justin found out that they will be having another little girl in Nov. Poor Cade will still be that only boy on the Matthiesen side. Brad and Angie are expecting in Jan. so maybe they will have a boy!!

Joe and Lacy are still busy with their little girls. Harlee is very involved with horses already and Jacey's busy personality keeps them on their toes.

Jaxon keeps Dusty and Heather on the go. He is so very smart and wants to know how everything works!!!

Mom and Dad are good and loving every minute of being Omi and Pop!!

Sam is in Houston working at a Veterans' hospital for the summer. He says some days are really hard but is getting to know some really neat people!!!
